So many of the new-builds do not have adequate shading to make life more comfortable
Add a cool colour to warm walls to help reflect heat. How much cooler will it be!

How does your place rate on energy conservation?
Take a quick survey to see how your school, home, place or work etc. is performing in energy conservation. Give yourself a score out of 5 for each area and then judge the results for yourself.
Whatever your score, the question remains: how can you make it better?

1 = poor; 2 = fair; 3 = good; 4 = very good; 5 = excellent
How would you rate the efforts at your place in:
1. Preparing an energy policy? 1 2 3 4 5

2. Preparing an energy conservation strategy? 1 2 3 4 5

3. Including energy conservation on the agenda in staff meetings? 1 2 3 4 5

4. Turning off lights in empty rooms? 1 2 3 4 5

5. Turning off at the point unused computers? 1 2 3 4 5

6. Installing energy saving devices? 1 2 3 4 5

7. Purchasing equipment with high energy saving ratings? 1 2 3 4 5

8. Encouraging energy reduction practices? 1 2 3 4 5

9. Promoting walking, cycling and public transport over car use? 1 2 3 4 5

10. Involving all stakeholders in decision making about energy conservation?
1 2 3 4 5

Saving energy saves money.
